Pemba and Ellen bio

IN MEMORIAM: On May 16th, 2002, Ellen and Pemba Doma reached the summit of Mt. Everest together, making them the 3rd and 4th women who have reached the mountain's summit from both Nepal and Tibet. On May 22, 2007, Pemba Doma Sherpa fell to her death on Lhotse. The Kingdom of Nepal lost a special daughter, and Ellen lost a dear friend.
