Throughout the year Ellen presents her experiences in Nepal, Tibet and on climbing both sides of Everest in her unique slide show: "Mt. Everest, A Woman's view from the Summit." The presentation include stunning images of both the Nepalese and Tibetan sides of Everest, as well as a t
our through the cultures of Nepal and Tibet. Stories of her travels, expeditions, preparation and question/answer session are included.
In the Spirit of "Giving back", Ellen has given the following Everest shows as fundraisers for non-profit groups:
Vail Symposium, REI Denver, a benefit for the Food Bank of the Rockies Outdoor Divas, Boulder, Co.- a benefit for Boulder County Safe House for Women Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center First Descents, a kayaking camp for teens with cancer Small Champions (an outdoor program for handicapped (children) Snowboard Outreach Society Vail Public Library, Adventure Speaker Series Arrowhead Alpine Club, a benefit for Meet the Wilderness (for at-risk youth).
During the past 4 years, Ellen has been active in presenting "Shared Summits" throughout schools in the Denver area, and in Summit and Eagle counties. Through the images of Nepal, Tibet and Mt. Everest, Ellen tries to inspire children to keep their dreams alive and to develop focus, determination, and an interest in travelling the World.
